Very little home for a small planet

It has been suggested recently in a national newspaper that we should all start thinking about "small house from a Small Planet '- an interesting concept. However, it seems a little concept of North America, since we are all accustomed to the homes of two times the size, for example, our European counterparts.

How do they live in these small houses? Could we? Should we? " How believe that reducing our own living space without sacrificing the ease and efficiency of our lifestyle?

These questions may sound scary, even less if we consider the simplified design of motorhomes and fifth wheel. The benefits of living in smaller homes are fairly obvious: less land, less tax the property, less building materials, less space to heat, less soil to the carpet - you get the idea! The whole picture spells a life that costs less to live. More money to enjoy!

If you've ever thought of reducing the size (and in these days of soaring food and energy, many we have!), one of the first questions that arises is what could we do without him? Or rather, what we do without him?

However, it is possible to establish a kitchen-dining room, so that the environment could be that of "formal" but only when necessary. That would be achieved by clever use of lighting and a non-invasive to separate the two functions of food consumption and food preparation.

Using furniture or decorative mobile screens is also an option that could be used only when the formal setting was necessary. In a new home could save up to 100 square feet and many thousands of dollars.

If the man of the house is irritated by the bit, taking into account the conversion of part of garage into a workshop! A solid workbench and a wall covered with foil cardboard to hang tools free will a lot of storage space everywhere.

Now that you realize the amount of space that is not necessary, you must buy a new smaller house, and perhaps saving book a cruise or two!
