1984 GMC 6.2L Diesel?

I'm looking for a 1984 GMC 2500 6.2L Diesel and wondered if they are good trucks. The truck has a fifth wheel plate so probably has been used for the shot. He says some 44,000 miles, but is likely to be tripped over. How serious are they to start in the winter? Nor have any power or are the dogs?

The only thing they do is fuel economy. The small block gassers made more horsepower and torque than the aspiration 6.2/6.5L natural.
