Is there any difference in the price of what the province to purchase a vehicle / RV in Canada?
Come to Canada next year and will buy an RV (Motorhome) and wonder if it is cheaper in the provinces? When I lived in Calgary, there was no provincial sales tax so if I can buy an RV directly (distributor) would be about 8% cheaper to buy in Alberta than other provinces? In addition, any extra "annoying" laws in different provinces to buy a car?
The national sales tax (GST) were compared with 7% to 6% on 1 July. You're right, Alberta has 0 tax on sales (so really the 6% GST after July 1), while Ontario has 8% (14% so really with the GST after 1 July). Additionally, where your vehicle will affect environmental policy must follow. There may be a heavier charge of the environment in Ontario, with increasing pollution. I have no idea. Each province has the Ministry of Transportation or a similar name department.
