Advantages and Disadvantages of Class C Motorhomes
A Class C motorhome is very easy to recognize because most tend to have a section that unfolds on the roof of the cabin. They are very popular among campers and weekend vacationers for reasons discussed below. Usually they are shorter and more smaller than most Class A motorhomes are built from more conventional on racks. Here is the short list of the advantages and disadvantages of Class C RVs:
Advantages:
1. The price may be a great advantage because in general a much lower cost than Class A motorhomes and much less than the conversion buses.
2. They are built to accommodate several people. Since they are a favorite of travelers and weekend vacationers, there is usually plenty Car bed and that is one of the functions of the section above on the roof of the cabin, to provide a bed to sleep.
3. Because of being smaller that can fit in almost any camp or park very easily, so you have more options where you can stay overnight. They also take off-road is much better than most larger RV types.
Disadvantages:
1. They are built on a truck / van and that framework is Much weight can be handled without overloading. This will limit the amount you can carry on the trip. If the light of this package is not a problem, but with everyone you add in travel, the load increases, so take this into account.
2. If not packaged correctly, or if you buy one of the very large models, may be more difficult to manage on the road. Again, this is a major issue that relates back to the frame size in order to maintain their relationship weight and this can not present a major problem.
3. A good section of the length of the unit will be pretty useless, since it involves the elevator car. So when taking into account the real living space, make sure you have only the area from the end of the cab back.
These are large mobile homes and try to rent for a week or so to see how you like the RV lifestyle before you actually commit to long term. In general, if you stay in a Class C and can handle small problems associated with it, most likely it will be very comfortable in a Class A motorhome or bus conversion. Class C vehicles recreation can be rented almost anywhere, why not give them a chance and see if your home on the road with you is your cup of tea.
