Where would the location is in the VIN # on a mobile home is 1986 Southwind??

We are rebuilding it in registrating Oregon now and can not find the VIN #. We never had problems in California We have done a lot of remodeling inside walls, carpeting and ETA. Does anyone know where to find the VIN #. DMV says that perhaps only a paper label and lol we may have to start all of our refurbished panels and carpeting! Help please?? It is a class A If I can not find I have to take it into Oregon State Patrol for July 6. I'm afraid all our hard work started down toward the inside, but the answers there??

There will be 2 types of VIN # s. One is the chassis number of GM, Ford, or whoever, the other is the label for Southwinds. The original number must be on a label on the board, and / or under the hood. Southwinds The label would not have been in a place that could have been buried by interior mods, unless they had a duplicate one of the cabinets. The original must have been under the driver's door. All chassis have hidden "police" vin identification tag stolen vehicles. The police department or the DMV should be able to check the number if the vehicle is inspected.
