Advances in Motor Industry

Motor production is experiencing a shift in growth would likely increase in coming years. The size and quality of motorhomes is very variable, from several million pounds of models that are more like palaces than mobile homes to cars smaller than provide a cost effective way to vacation. For the industry to keep growing, however, certain changes should be made to maintain profitability, these changes may affect the workforce and manufacturing methods.

The first concern of industry players to reduce the cost per man hour used in the construction of mobile homes. In this way companies can increase their profits by getting the same number of sales while decreasing production costs each unit. Unfortunately for this to happen, it is likely that employment will suffer as customers seek cheaper prices.

The construction of campers also change. In the past mobile homes were built with a 'stick-build "method, nowadays however, this is being rapidly changed. The old method of welding is a framework of individual components, then this union to the chassis. This method is however very long and expensive; understandably more advanced methods are being employed.

The industry today is the adoption of a system that uses pre-molded subassemblies that fit directly in the chassis then the reduction of man hours of construction and the cost per unit. While this method is not yet widespread, if the industry wants to remain profitable, have to resort to these techniques wholesale.

Motorhomes in the past constructed of aluminum and wood, but this is changing rapidly. modern plastics can perform just as well that these materials and therefore have been widely used. In addition, these plastic components are pre-molded and already contain all fixtures and fittings, and insulation. The result is that these components can be screwed directly on the chassis, greatly reducing the time spent on construction; once again making the manufacture of motor homes cheaper.

Another change that is likely to take place in the motor home industry is the source of energy used at home. Diesel engines that are largely ineffective and costly to manage are being replaced by turbine engines as these are lighter and consume less fuel for the same output. Like much of the motor industry, this type of solutions such as hybrid engines and hydrogen energy is also being studied as a means of propulsion that does not use fossil fuels. Motor ultimately do more respectful of the environment is the main objective.

Modern mobile homes are also increasingly using advanced waste management systems. In the past, owners have always feared emptying the chemical toilet, but this is changing with a modern trend of advanced, clean and efficient systems. Leakage is an obvious problem with hazardous chemicals are used, reducing thus it is an important goal.

Many of these changes, despite being used by some companies are still not widespread throughout the sector. It logical however, that these methods are more effective than are used increasingly. With low demand for increased prices and the industry to remain prosperous, it must take these changes on board to maintain profitability.
