My VW LT35 2.4 Deisel (1994) Needs looking engine ....?

.... I think there is a problem in the delivery of fuel because it is a slow start, and when I will be running foot on the accelerator pedal, and although the throttle is connected to the pedal is moved across the wire, there is sometimes not the case nothing, which gets a bit hairy and embarrassing in traffic! this is now a trailer by the way, is a homemade job, but I like and I ant my baby develop without problems, I checked all outlets of heating, but the closest to the fuel pump as my fingers are like a bunch of bananas and there is little space there, I have 300 pounds to spend on the engine, which only has a new service, but I want this problem sorted by someone who knows his stuff, I live in Stafford in the Midlands, any help?

hello did they change the fuel filter, if it did bleed the system after getting the air out, sounds like a problem fuel to me: ie the lack of jet fuel
