Would you fly low cost to Europe?
A few years ago would not have thought it was possible, but the budget airline AirAsia X is that offer flights from Australia to London from only $ 1200 return.
Low cost airlines have changed the travel habits, so it is more affordable to go abroad. Now, with one all the way to London, a trip to Europe is cheaper than ever. A return flight to London with Qantas is roughly about $ 2000 so the savings is pretty good.
But low-cost flying to Europe to save money?
I absolutely not. I flew to Asia do not have luxuries and admit I was pleasantly surprised by Jetstar - I would have been much worse.
But all the way to Europe? No, thanks.
Being Irish, I have a long-haul flight several times and would not unadorned. 24 hours is a long time and low cost calls in flight are the only things that keep you going!
How often I travel in Europe alone as entertainment system (in the back of the seat, knees thank you very much) is vital! No book battery is interesting enough or strong enough for iPod to keep me entertained for a full day.
The constant flow of drinks and snacks between meals is also very valuable (especially white wine).
And I mean even blankets and flight socks. Being in an airplane is similar to being in Melbourne - it's like 4 seasons in one day. Freezing a minute, too hot the next.
Of course, you can still get a low cost budget airline, but you pay extra for them and it all adds up.
I think cheap flights to Europe are great - more people can afford the trip and Increased competition can only be good.
But for now I'm happy to pay more for reliability, service, entertainment and blankets. After all, seeing Chicken a movie without interruption by a partner claimant is priceless.

Travelling in Europe for a year with children?
Me and my husband are thinking of traveling around Europe, either with a mobile home or caravan our two children for one year. We are thinking about doing this in 2 years. By then our children will be 9 and 7. In the first place. Does anyone know if is possible to pull of children out of school for a year Second, nobody knows about the amount of this type of trip will cost Thirdly, I just wanted to know someone who has done this sort of thing. If Europe is not what another country is easier to do this in Thanks Kirsty
FIRST ANSWER: It's easier than you might think you take your children to school. In general, you can organize your child's school to work or do independent studies. If you are already education their children at home, it would be different. Or, if you are "between schools" is very easy. As long as you left the country, you do not even need register for home schooling or independent study. Check with your school or school district to find out what is required.
