Newmar was founded in 1968 when Marvin Newcomer and Marvin Miller, left their jobs in upper level management at another RV manufacturing company to start their own company. Over the years, Newmar has continued to add to its product line, expanding and improving as the market and the industry grow and it was the first motorhome manufacturer to create the motorized power slide-out.
Today, the Newmar Corporate headquarters are located in their Nappanee, Indiana 137,000 square-foot manufacturing facility, and state-of-the-art 144,000 square foot chassis assembly facility manufacturing a full line of towable fifth-wheel trailers such as the Cypress, Kountry Aire, Torrey Pine, and X-Aire fifth-wheel.
